YOUNG WYOMINGITES LOOK BEYOND THE FOSSIL FUEL ERA
Wyoming lawmakers have historically supported the fossil fuel industries because they provided jobs and revenue. Today, these industries are dying and young people are leaving the state in droves to find good jobs.
Yet our lawmakers continue to prop up a dying industry rather than taking steps to create new jobs and stop the climate crisis. That’s why young people across Wyoming are stepping up to demand bold action from our leaders. We are the ones who will live with the long-term consequences.
This event will invite young people from across Wyoming to lead and take part in a public discussion (online) about our state’s fossil fuel dependence, the climate crisis, and how to build a livable future. This event is for people of all ages—young people (13-35), and those who are young at heart (36 and up) and committed to listening to Wyoming youth.
