Field organizer - Natrona County
$25/hour, part-time up to 15 hours/week
Better Wyoming is a statewide grassroots nonprofit that educates,
organizes, and mobilizes residents so they can advocate for solutions to
problems in their communities and in our state.
Join our team as a field organizer in Casper where you will work to
empower residents to shape the future of your community, while connecting
with similar efforts across Wyoming.
Better Wyoming focuses on making a difference on real issues impacting
us and our neighbors, like affordable healthcare access, quality public
education, affordable housing, and more.

You will work closely with experienced and supportive colleagues to:
- Recruit fellow Natrona County residents who are concerned about
local and statewide problems, and help them understand the
underlying causes and potential solutions - Support folks in taking action to convince lawmakers to address
issues facing your community - Coordinate events that build connections between Casper neighbors
and empower them with the skills to advocate on their own behalf - Educate your fellow community members about how to engage in the
civic processes that shape their lives and our state
The ideal candidate will have:
- An eagerness to meet and talk to everyday people in your community
and build real relationships - A curious mindset and a passion to learn about other people’s
perspectives - A basic understanding of local and Wyoming politics
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- The ability to learn and use new digital software
- A long-term dedication to improving our state and the lives of us who
live here
The schedule for this position is generally flexible but does involve
attending regular staff meetings via Zoom as well as occasional events.
