The Grassroots Institute

The Grassroots Institute is developing future leaders of Wyoming!
Better Wyoming’s Grassroots Institute is an eight-week training program that develops leaders across the state into community organizers. We combine research, best practices, and on-the-ground experience to share with volunteers and partner organizations so they can learn what they need to make a difference.

Wyoming Says NO to Book Bans

August 20, 2025

Hundreds of people flooded lawmakers with emails and gave public testimony in resistance to a bill that aims to ban books and penalize libraries. The fight isn’t over, but together we’ve shown the legislature that Wyoming won’t accept censorship.

Meanwhile, a new report confirms that the cost of care in Wyoming is nearly the highest in the nation. While other states enact laws to increase price transparency and decrease uninsured rates, Wyoming lawmakers have done little.
