Why wait for mailers? Better Wyoming’s campaign to meet candidates where they’re at—BEFORE the election

In the hustle and bustle of election season, it's easy to forget that the people running for office are hoping to represent us. They're not just names on a ballot; they're individuals who, if elected, will make decisions that impact our daily lives.

That's why Better Wyoming volunteer’s aren't waiting around for a campaign flier in the mail or the off chance of a candidate knocking on our doors. Our volunteers are taking the initiative to meet with these candidates face-to-face through our Candidate Education Meetings.

These meetings are more than just a chat. They’re an opportunity to share the insights we've gathered from our 2023-24 Healthcare Campaign, focusing on the challenges Wyomingites face accessing healthcare in this vast state. We present this information to candidates, learn about their positions on these issues, and discuss potential solutions. It's a two-way street where we get to understand their views and they get to hear directly from the people they hope to represent.

But the goal of these meetings goes beyond sharing information. It's about building relationships. By sitting down with candidates, we hope to create a foundation for a collaborative relationship that can continue once they are in office. This isn't just about holding our representatives accountable—it's about working alongside them to ensure that the needs of our communities are met.

We believe that those who run for public office serve the communities they represent. These meetings build a more open and honest relationship between elected officials and their constituents, paving the way for more informed and responsive government.

So, as we get closer and closer to voting for those who hope to represent us, join us in meeting with your local candidates.

If you're passionate about making a real difference in your community and want to be part of the solution, we encourage you to get involved. Attend a meeting, volunteer with us, or commit to voting in the upcoming elections! Together, we can make a real difference.
